Quick Flight Storytime:
The plane ride at one point gave me anxiety and I had to get myself together because at a point while I was awake trying to go back to sleep suddenly we sped up as if there was some resistance (it felt like we were falling but we were going up) and it got really hot on the plane. While this was happening out the window all I saw was white (it was the brightest white light I’ve ever seen)…y’all I thought we were going to heaven because it’s nighttime outside (it’s supposed to be pitch black and you just see the red and white lights on the wing) and I had to remind Jesus, “God I prayed over this flight, you’re supposed to have the plane!”
This happened 2 more times and after the 2nd time I heard the woman behind me say, “What is going on” so I at least knew I wasn’t trippin’ (I needed that for my sanity). They said something over the loud speaker to the extent of “stay seated” but I had my headphones in with my eyes closed holding on for dear life. After the 3rd time I was just trying to get my breathing under control because my heart was racing and I was unsettled. All I thought about afterwards was the series Manifest because that’s exactly what I bet Flight 828 experienced (and as a fan of the show that’s how it felt). I looked over at Kassandra who was asleep and unfazed by everything (even if I were sleep that would’ve woke me up because I have a fear of falling-that’s why I don’t do rollercoasters because my stomach can’t take it). Needless to say I was wide awake after that and we had a little over 2 more hrs to go until we arrived to Reykjavik.(We arrived 20 mins early at 4:50am safely).
